VIA support?
Main Post:
I've been looking into keyboards recently, and I noticed that Wooting keyboards aren't in the compatibility list on the website for VIA. I've heard that VIA is the gold standard for keyboard software, and I'm just curious why Wooting boards aren't supported? Will they potentially be in the future? If not, can someone explain why it probably wont ever happen? Like, are there reasons that I just dont understand? I would love to know more!

Feature - Support ChatGPT opt-out via robots.txt
Main Post:
While OpenAI supports a way to opt-out of having your work crawled via robots.txt but since that is sitewide it obviously isn't something that can be managed on a per world or per account basis.
Ideally there would be an option in world settings that could be set that would block crawling. Since it's probably too cumbersome to put an entry in robots.txt for each individual world (especially given its 500kb limit) it may be necessary to change the world URL either for opted in or opted out worlds - for example:
robots.txt
User-agent: GPTBot Disallow: /wn/\*Where worlds that choose to block crawling would have their world URL change slightly to match the pattern by changing the /w/ in their base URL to /wn/. A similar approach could be taken if this feature is opt out (block for /w/, but allow crawling for /wc/).
An alternate option would be to simply return a 403 Forbidden based on the user agent whenever the GPT crawler attempts to access a world that does not wish to be crawled by AI. This would work well as either an alternate implementation or a supplemental control.
This will allow creators who don't want their work used by OpenAI for training ChatGPT the ability to prevent that.

Controller support via Steam
Main Post: Controller support via Steam
Top Comment: I’m using a DS4 controller and got it to work without needing REWASD. First, got to your steam library, select delta force from the list on the left. Right click and select properties. Go to controller and enable steam input. Now select “controller configurator” which is underlined. In the configurator, select the WASD+mouse template and map it how you like. I have several keys on the same button (quick press and long press). [After you’ve mapped your controller, name it and upload it. Select your template from the community layouts, you will have to edit it again (it changed a few things on me).] After this, close everything. Run steam as administrator again, launch the game, and you should be good to go. Until you actually take control of the character, right stick will move the cursor, and right trigger will replace left mouse button, once you’re actually playing it will use your mapping. Edit: I’m not sure if the section in brackets [ ] is necessary, but mine didn’t work until after I did that.
How to use Steam Input to play Battlebit via Controller a guide from a Steam Deck Users. Works for all Controllers.
Main Post:
I am copying and pasting a comment i made on another post to hopefully help new players coming who play using Controllers. This works for all modern controllers including Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, and Joycons.
I know there is a lot of guides out there for Steam Input but I want to make sure there are at least one that are straight to the point to get you up and playing the game with everyone. This isnt comprehensive and I have edited this post from the original comment I made to add additional information and clarify some things.
Connect your controller to your PC. If you are using an Xbox Controller make sure the light on your controller is blue. This indicates Steam sees it. I assume the Playstation controllers do the same. If it does not light up go under Steam > Settings > then toggle your appropriate input device under "External Gamepad Settings"
Note for those who are using Xbox Elite controllers: You might need to scroll down to "Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver" and install that driver for your rear paddles to show up in the "Edit Layout" menu. If this does not work, you might need to update your controller's drivers. Follow the instructions provided by Microsoft.
Then go to Battlebit and click the cogbutton above developer broadcast. Go to Manage > Controller Layout. Here is where you find your controller. You can map your controller via Edit Layout. However it will be easier to start with an already established layout. Click on the current layout (or use controller inputs as well) and go to "Community Layouts." If this section is blank, click "Show All Layouts" at the bottom. Make sure you download one for your own controller. You can tell what console controller type it is by looking at the silhouette of the controller type next to it. For Xbox One controllers, I suggest "MARIO'S BUILD [[BATTLEBIT]]" if you want a COD feel but I downloaded that one launch day and I bet you there are better ones. You can view the layout before downloading them by clicking the layout and to apply them click "Apply Layout" at the bottom. Once you have downloaded and applied the layout it should now take you back to the main screen. If you don't see your controller in the menu, you need to make one. I suggest once you are done try publishing your layout for others to use.
Once this is all done. Launch the game. Head to the shooting range and test the controls out. If you open the Steam Overlay you can click the controller button at the bottom to reopen this menu. You can also edit any downloaded layout to fit your needs. Just click "Edit Layout." This menu also lets you see what buttons have multiple inputs (long press, double press, half pulls) or if they are a radial menu (i have seen this done for weapon swaping). You can also set your sensitivity settings, dead zones, and if you have an Xbox Elite controller you can map the paddles here as well. This works for all controller types, even the Microsoft Xbox Adaptive controller for those who use alternative modes of interaction.
Once all set up; within Battlebit's Controls Menu make sure you set Toggle Lean, Toggle Sprint, and Toggle Aim. Also based on how your reloads within your layout are set, you can also change how your reloads work (if you want Hold or Double tap for Tactical reloads and if you want to Tactical or Retention to be your default reload) so this doesn't interfere with anything set in your layout.
Edit: For Nintendo Controllers: You will notice that your buttons will be all messed up when you controller connects. This issue can be solved by connecting your controller, then under Steam > Settings > Controller, find the Nintendo controller on the top bar and select it. Under there is a menu for a lot of options.
Hope this helps.
